Thanks for visiting. I’m Lara Russell and I am a writer. In my writing, I tend to focus on fiction and anything that usually comes with a three act structure. I also work as an I.T project manager and spend a lot of time translating abstract things into developer-friendly language as well as editing and publishing articles online.

The current focus of this site is my blog, where I discuss:
- writing and fictional works,
- music and the role it plays in my writing,
- travelling, and
- aspects of my life as a writer.
My characters enjoy travelling and so do I. I have come to appreciate a long haul flight for what it is – a turbulent and exhilarating means to an end. Long before the fight for the armrest begins and the jet lag sets in, I’m comforted by the thought that this plane will almost certainly remain in the air and on course and eventually reach its destination.
The information on this site has been based on the notion that perhaps the same could be true of a writer ‘in transit’, on a path to publication.
